Hi ! Here you can watch a video in which I talk about a project I made this year :

- an oral presentation (6-8 minutes long, to be given in one of the two upcoming and last classes)

If you’re lost on LOST, we get you covered. This is ABC’s LOST Untangled.
In the beginning, a plane broke apart over the south pacific, but folks were strangled on a mysterious island for 108 days with smoke monsters, polar bears… yeah, you get the idea! Only 6 were rescued, the rest vanished along the island. Now the once who are rescued wants to go back and save the people they left behind. That’s 4 seasons in that show!

So here we are: season 5! Lost is back wednesdays at 9/8c on ABC! Now let’s do this untangling of the next episode of LOST untitled “316”.

We begin with our survivors in the city: Jack, Sun, Ben and Desmond have arrived at a mystery church where Faraday’s mom hangs out, and apparently, it’s not just a church, but another secret DHARMA station! Oh snap!!!
Welcome to the lamp post LA’s premiere underground island finding headquarters complete, with giant swigging map thinging.

Jack: what is this place?
Hawking: this is how the DHARMA initiative founds the island.
Jack: what?
Desmond: watch up brother!
Desmond: oh brother!
Hawking: since the island is moving, we use all theses outdated computers to pinpoint the location. Your window is about to close.
Desmond: Hold on brother! You’re all going back to the island brother? Willingly brother?
Kate: Yes!
Ben: That’s affirmative.
Jack: Yes sir!
Hawking: The island isn’t down with you either Desmond.
Desmond: I’m done with that bloody island brother!
Jack: Wow!

Hum ok! So this giant pendulum tells everyone where the island is, but getting there is another story, and Faraday’s mom has the answer.

Hawking: come with me Dr Shepard.
Jack: are there more swigging things?
Hawking: don’t be such a fool boy! This is important, so pay attention.
Jack: sorry madam!
Hawking: here you go. It’s John Locke’s suicide note.

Hold the phone! Suicide? That’s how he died? Really? Ok, back to the story!

Hawking: You’ll need to take John with you to get back. He is a substitute.
Jack: A substitute for what?
Hawking: Your father. It’s how you’ll recreate the original plane crash.

So here the break down. To it’s to work, we need all survivors on a plane with one dead guy, which was originally Jack’s dad and now it’s Locke. Oh perfect! Looks like we’re ready to go, which brings us to the airport.

Hostess: Greatings and salutations friendly flyers. We are now preboarding for Ajira Airways flight 316.

Sidenote : the flight number is referencing the biblical passage John 3:16. That’s for all the fans out there ok? Moving on.

Hostess: Ladies and gentlemen. Due to difficult economic times, there’ll be no food or beverage service on flight 316. Thank you.
Hurley: Dude!
Hostess: Care for a cookie?

After 4 seasons they are all back on a plane, and guess what? Lapidus is the pilot. Remember him from season 4? This doesn’t evolve well.

Ben: Why do you look so nervous Jack?
Jack: Ah! Are we about to crash on the island?
Ben: What gives you that idea?
Jack: Maybe this letter from Locke would come me down.

That’s right, John wrote Jack a little note and all it’s said is this: “I wish you had belied me”. Oh ok! And then: “Please fasten your seat belts”. Oh oh…

Hurley: Dude!
Jack: Whaaaa!
Hurley: Dude!
Kate: Holy cow!
Hurley: Dude!
Sayid: Oh my god!
Hurley: Dude!
Sun: Oh no!
Hurley: Dude!
Ben: Ah ah ah ah ah!
Hurley: Plane’s going down dude!

Next thing you know, there’re back! Jack is in the jungle. Kate and Hurley are in a lagoon. Oh! And Hurley is screaming for help.

Hurley: Dude!

Now it’s time for Jack Shepard’s swan dive to the rescue.

Jack: Hurley! Kate!
Hurley: Dude!
Jack: Where is everyone else?
Kate: Hey there’s someone coming.
Jin: Konichiwaaaaaaaa!
Hurley: Dude!

So here is the report: everyone’s met Faraday’s mom in a LA’s DHARMA station and managed to get on a plane and back to the island: they did it. And we still have a lot more episodes left. Hell yeah! Jack, Hurley and Kate are all together, the other survivors are nowhere to be found, but we do get a surprise visit from Jin. Yes, Jin! And why is he wearing a DHARMA outfit? Oh boy, this is getting good!
